Winner of Philadelphia Union-FC Dallas semi to host Open Cup Final

The final of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup will be hosted by the winner of the semifinal between FC Dallas and the Philadelphia Union.

Philadelphia and FC Dallas will play their semifinal match on Aug. 12 at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas, with the other semifinal between Chicago and Seattle taking place on Aug. 13 at the Starfire Soccer Complex in Tukwila, Wash.

The Open Cup final will take place on one of three dates -- Sept. 16, Sept. 17 or Oct. 1 -- and be broadcast on Gol TV.

The host was determined Monday night in Portland, the location of Wednesday's MLS All-Star game, when U.S. Soccer President Sunil Gulati flipped a ceremonial coin on the Men In Blazers show.

The Open Cup is a domestic cup competition featuring affiliated amateur and professional teams in the United States. This year marks the 101st edition of the tournament.
