Neymar is back, and he hasn't lost an ounce of his flair.

Neymar's cultural significance to Brazil transcends soccer, World Cup

In his first game action since suffering a broken vertebra in the World Cup quarterfinals against Colombia, Neymar assisted Lionel Messi for an early strike and then scored two goals of his own – a chip and a (completely unnecessary) slick back heel into a vacated net – during Barcelona's dismantling of reigning Liga MX champion Leon in the club's final preseason game of the summer. Neymar, cleared by team doctors following the summer knee to the back from Juan Camilo Zuniga, emerged unscathed after 45 minutes of action.

The Joan Gamper Trophy friendly at Camp Nou allowed Rafa Marquez to bid farewell to his most recent team, Leon, against one of his former teams, Barcelona, before moving to Serie A's Hellas Verona. Marquez played 52 minutes before departing to an ovation.

Perhaps most notably, the match also marked the unofficial Barcelona debut of maligned Uruguay international Luis Suarez.

Suarez had his four-month ban for biting Giorgio Chiellini in the World Cup amended so that he can train and play in friendlies, and he came on for the final 13 minutes as the hosts polished off the 6-0 win. Suarez will return to the sidelines for the club's La Liga opener against Elche on Sunday.
