A UEFA Champions League group stage match on Wednesday between Arsenal and Galatasaray was temporarily halted after supporters of the Turkish club threw flares on the pitch.

The match is being played at Emirates Stadium in London.

With Arsenal leading 2-0 after two goals from recent signing Danny Welbeck, officials temporarily stopped the match to clear flares thrown by Galatasaray supporters from the pitch during the first half.

Away supporters sit in a corner of the Clock End at Emirates Stadium.

Play resumed after a brief stoppage, and Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez proceeded to score the team's third goal, putting the English side up 3-0.
