Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says he believes Thierry Henry will return to club in some capacity in the future.

"Certainly one day he will come back here," Wenger said at a press conference Tuesday. "In what role I don’t know, that is what he has to think about: what direction he wants to give to his next life."

Wenger added that he believes Henry "has all the qualities" to be a coach, and does not think he will return to England as a player.

Henry announced Monday that he would not return to the New York Red Bulls, after four-and-a-half seasons with the club.

Henry made a name for himself under Wenger at Arsenal from 1999 to 2007. Wenger was also his manager when he made his professional debut with Monaco in 1994. Henry returned to Arsenal on a two-month loan in 2012, between MLS seasons. He scored 175 goals in 258 Premier League games for the Gunners.
