Report: U.S. U-20 midfielder Emerson Hyndman breaks collarbone

United States Under-20 national team midfielder Emerson Hyndman has reportedly sustained a broken collarbone.

United States Under-20 national team midfielder Emerson Hyndman has sustained a broken collarbone, reports Goal.com.

Hyndman is expected to miss up to six weeks and could be sidelined until April, according to the report.

Hyndman, who also plays for Fulham of the English League Championship, sustained the injury during the U.S U-20- team's World Cup qualifying victory against El Salvador on Saturday.

The 18-year-old made his U.S. senior national team debut last September, after he was selected for and substituted into the team's friendly against the Czech Republic. He has also made an appearance on the U.S. Under-23 national team.

The Under-20 World Cup begins in late May.
