LA Galaxy's Gyasi Zardes emerges as USMNT's winter camp breakout player

Green joined Hamburg over the summer on loan from Bayern Munich, where he had developed a reputation as one of the club's premier up-and-coming stars. However, Green has yet to make a Bundesliga appearance with Bayern, with the bulk of his action coming with the club's youth squads in regional competitions. Green's loan to Hamburg was designed to get the winger some consistent time at the top level, but so far Green has made just five appearances, playing a total of 105 minutes.

Green became the U.S.' youngest-ever player to appear in the World Cup after being a surprise selection for the team by head coach JurgenKlinsmann. Green repaidKlinsmann's faith by scoring just two minutes into his debut in extra time of the Americans' round of 16 loss to Belgium.
