There won't be an empty seat at the Citrus Bowl when the two newest Major League Soccer clubs play their inaugural match on March 8. According to Orlando City SC, the Citrus Bowl has been sold out for Lions' season-opener against New York City FC.

"We are proud to announce that as of today, as of this morning, our mission to fill the bowl is complete," Orlando City president Phil Rawlins said, via the Orlando Sentinel. "The bowl is filled. One week ahead of our first-ever MLS game we are a sold out Citrus Bowl, we have sold 60,000 seats for the game."

The stadium capacity has not been announced. Orlando City had been running a "#FillTheBowl" marketing campaign for its MLS debut, and it seems to have been a success.

The Los Angeles Galaxy hold the MLS record for debut attendance with 69,255.
