New York Cosmos to play at Cuban national team on June 2

The New York Cosmos of the North American Soccer League will travel to Havana to play the Cuban national team, according to Andrew Das of The New York Times.
In December, the United States said it was working to restore diplomatic relations with Cuba. This will mark the first time that an American professional team has played on Cuban soil in 16 years.
The game is expected to take place on June 2, when the Cosmos will have a break in their schedule and the Cuban National Team will be preparing for their appearance in the Gold Cup in July.

United States soccer teams have had several games with the Cuban national team throughout the past decade, but none have been played in Cuba. The United States national team last played Cuba in Utah during the 2013 Gold Cup.
