PSG forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic said Chelsea acted like “babies” after he received a red card during Wednesday's Champions League match, the BBC reports.

Following a first half collision with Oscar, several Chelsea players surrounded referee Bjorn Kuipers and demanded that Ibrahimovic be punished. Kuipers gave Ibrahimovic a red card.

Ibrahimovic said he was unsure to how to respond to Chelsea's display.

“When I got the red card all the Chelsea players come around, it felt like I had a lot of babies around me.”

“I don't know if I have to get angry or start to laugh. For me when I saw the red card I was like 'the guy doesn't know what he's doing,'" the PSG forward added.

Despite playing a man down for the entire second half, PSG equalized Chelsea late in the match. Following an Eden Hazard penalty conversion in extra time, Thiago Silva drew PSG level again, giving the French club the critical edge in away goals.

The red card, however, means that Ibrahimovic will not be able to play in PSG’s next game in the quarterfinal round. PSG manager Laurent Blanc said he expects the club to appeal the red card.

“I hope Ibra can be with us in the quarter-finals,” Blanc said. "He’ll certainly want to play a good match in the quarter-finals because he has a feeling that he did something that punished the team and could have punished them terminally.”
