NYCFC's Adam Nemec scores in Slovakia's Euro 2016 qualifying match
Watch: New York City forward Adam Nemec scores in Slovakia's Euro 2016 qualifier against Luxembourg
New York City FC striker Adam Nemec is 0-for-3 in scoring in MLS play thus far, but he managed to find the back of the net for his country on Friday.
Nemec opened the scoring in Slovakia's Euro 2016 qualifying match against Luxembourg. Slovakia got off to a quick start through Nemec, who was first to the ball after a free kick struck the crossbar and then finished with his right foot while falling to the ground in the 10th minute.
Slovakia entered the game perfect in Group C through four matches, including a 2-1 victory over Spain. Nemec, who had also scored in a Slovakia's qualifying win over Macedonia, now has three goals for his country.
His NYCFC returns to action without him Saturday night against Sporting Kansas City at Yankee Stadium.
