Watch: Stoke City's Charlie Adam scores from 65 yards out

Stoke City's Charlie Adam may have just scored the goal of the year in the English Premier League.

Charlie Adam scored what just might be the goal of the English Premier League season and one of the longest strikes you're ever likely to see.

The Stoke City midfielder leveled the match vs. Chelsea at 1-1 just shy of halftime. Adam received the ball beneath the circle on his own half and spotted Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois well off his line. Adam reared back and unleashed a howitzer of a strike that Courtois was only able to get a hand on as it deflected into the net.

The goal was the 50th of Adam's career in English football. Eden Hazard scored the opening goal for Chelsea, which would go on to win 2-1, on a penalty in the 38th minute.
