Liverpool forward Daniel Sturridge could miss the final month of the Premier League season because of various injuries, Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers said.

Sturridge has not played since April 8, missing the last three fixtures because of hip and thigh injuries. The team said it will monitor Sturridge's fitness for the rest of the season.

"It has been difficult for Daniel. He's a good lad who wants to play and be working and helping the team," Rodgers said. "It's just been one of those seasons for him where it has been very unfortunate. We are going to have to monitor that day by day and see where he's at.”

Liverpool has five Premier League games remaining, starting with a match at Hull City on Tuesday. Liverpool sits in fifth-place in the Premier League, seven points behind fourth-place Manchester United.
