Watch: USWNT winger Tobin Heath's elastico, assist vs. Mexico
The U.S. women's national team already had a win wrapped up over Mexico as preparations for the Women's World Cup continues, but Tobin Heath made sure to put an exclamation point on the performance in front of a sold-out StubHub Center.
Heath pulled off a smooth elastico before crossing to Abby Wambach, setting up the veteran's 182nd career international goal to cap a 5-1 win over Mexico in the penultimate send-off match before the World Cup.
Heath, who came on as a 62nd-minute substitute, made her impact 10 minutes later. She took Kenti Robles on, setting her up before cutting toward the end line with her elastico and dropping a pinpoint left-footed cross for Wambach by the far post.
The U.S. women will play South Korea in the final pre-World Cup friendly before facing Australia, Sweden and Nigeria in group play in Canada.
