Complete look at FOX's Women's World Cup broadcast schedule

Ahead of the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup, a complete look at FOX's broadcast schedule and coverage plan

Ultimately, FOX Sports will be judged on the quality of its Women’s World Cup presentation—and you have every right to be skeptical of FOX heading into the coverage—but they are off to a rousing start when it comes to tonnage. The company is promising 200 hours of Women’s World Cup coverage, an average of 6–7 hours per day between June 6 and July 5.

The network plans to announce its Women’s World Cup television schedule on Wednesday; all 52 games of the tournament will air live. The games will be split between FOX, FOX Sports 1 and FOX Sports 2. As far as the digital coverage, all games will be available on tablets and mobile devices via the FOX Sports Go app and online at FoxSportsGo.com.

Among the schedule highlights:

• Sixteen matches are scheduled to air on the main FOX channel including five in primetime. FOX will air the final weekend of matches including the first semifinal on June 30 (7 p.m. ET), the third place match on July 4 (4 p.m. ET) and the final on July 5 (7 p.m. ET).

• FOX Sports 1 will air 29 matches, including all Round of 16 matches, two quarterfinals and one semifinal (July 1).

• FOX Sports 2 will air seven games.

• Following in the footsteps of ESPN’s World Cup coverage, FOX will air a 60-minute version of FIFA Women’s World Cup Today prior to most matches. Some of the episodes will be shorter or longer depending on the time of the tournament.

• The network will also have a FIFA Women’s World Cup Tonight studio show airing after matches and late nights on FOX Sports 1.

• JP Dellacamera, Cat Whitehill and Tony DiCicco will announce all of the USWNT's group games.

• The schedule for the United States, which is in Group D, is as follows:

June 8 vs. Australia (7:30 p.m. ET/FOX Sports 1).
June 12 vs. Sweden (8 p.m. ET/FOX).
June 16 vs. Nigeria (8 p.m. ET/FOX).

• There will be a one-hour live Women’s World Cup preview show on June 5 on FOX Sports 1 (7:30–8:30 PM ET).

• FOX said FOX Sports Go will offers three alternate streams during the tournament in addition to streaming matches and studio shows. The first stream is called Match 360, which offers backstage access to the walk from the locker room to field, pregame warm-ups, in-progress highlights and postmatch press conferences. The second feed will be a nonstop in-game view from the tactical cameras showing all 22 players. The third feed comes directly from cable-cam flying above the field during play. FOX said the Tactical Cam feed is available for 41 of the 52 matches, while the Cable Cam feed is available for 23.
