U.S. men's national team forward Bobby Wood scored his first goal since a pair of dramatic winners against European powers Netherlands and Germany, but this time he didn't wait for the waning seconds.

Wood tallied his first goal for new club Union Berlin on Sunday in a 2-2 draw with Kaiserslautern, running onto a flicked-on header, splitting two defenders and deftly scoring with the outside of his right foot in the 72nd minute. At the time, the goal gave Union Berlin a 2-1 lead, but the 2. Bundesliga side conceded in the 87th minute to settle for the point, just its second in three games to start the new season.

Wood moved to Union Berlin from 1860 Munich and entered the new campaign with a boost after his two dramatic goals in June's friendlies. He has started all three of Union Berlin's matches so far this season. Watch his latest goal below:

Wood, who was left off the USA's provisional 35-man team for the CONCACAF Gold Cup, will hope to be in the mix for next month's friendlies against Peru and Brazil, which serve as final preparation for October's Confederations Cup playoff against Mexico.
