Liverpool announced the hiring of new manager Jurgen Klopp on Thursday.

The German coach, who last managed Borussia Dortmund from 2008–2015 before taking a sabbatical last spring, has signed a deal to manage the Reds. He will be presented at a Friday morning press conference. The news was reported Wednesday that Klopp had been tapped as manager, and terms of the deal were finalized Thursday.

Klopp, 48, brings with him a 288–147–153 managerial record, replacing Brendan Rodgers, who was fired after last week’s draw with Everton. He managed at Mainz 05, where he spent his entire 12-year playing career, from 2001–2008 before moving to Dortmund. He was named German Football Manager of the year in 2011 and 2012.

Liverpool currently sits 10th in the Premier League table with 12 points.
