Bob Bradley to manage Le Havre after two years at Stabaek
Former U.S. men's national team manager Bob Bradley has signed with Le Havre to take the helm at the second-division French club.
Bradley, which guided low-budget Stabaek to a third-place finish in Norway's top flight and a place in next season's UEFA Europa League, takes over at Le Havre immediately and will aim to guide the club to promotion to Ligue 1. Le Havre currently sits in fourth place through 14 games in Ligue 2. The top two clubs secure promotion, and Le Havre is currently four points behind league-leading Metz and three points behind second-place Nancy and third-place Dijon.
Bradley will be rejoined by Pierre Barrieu, the U.S. men's national fitness coach who was on Bradley's staff from 2006-2011.
The club released the following statement:
Bradley followed his tenure with the U.S. by taking over as coach of the Egyptian national team during a period of unrest and violence in the African nation. He guided the Pharaohs to within a game of the 2014 World Cup, ultimately falling to Ghana in Africa's World Cup qualifying playoffs.
After Egypt, he moved back to the club level to Stabaek, where he has spent the last two years.
