Teo Gutierrez scores, tries to write with referee's spray to celebrate

Watch Sporting's Teofilo Gutierrez celebrate his Europa League goal with the referee's can of vanishing spray.

Colombia international Teofilo Gutierrez scored a big goal for Sporting Lisbon in the Europa League Thursday, but it was his celebration after that was really worth another look.

Gutierrez took referee Manuel Grafe's vanishing spray and tried to write with it in the grass after giving Sporting Lisbon a 3-1 lead over Besiktas in their group finale. The goal cemented Sporting's place in the knockout stage, as it goes through as second place in Group H with 10 points. Lokomotiv Moscow's win gave the Russian club 11 points, which meant that Besiktas, which entered the day in first place on nine points, missed out on the knockout round.

It's unclear what Gutierrez, whose off-field antics have been well documented, was trying to write, but he perhaps was going for his name, as it looks like he attempted to make out a "T" (or mark an "X" on where he scored) before calling it quits. Either way, he was yellow carded for one of the more creative goal celebrations and use of vanishing spray that we've seen.

The game also featured another highlight: a trademark trivela by Ricardo Quaresma, with the Besiktas player setting up Mario Gomez for a gorgeous goal using the outside of his cleat.
