After leaving Real Salt Lake following the club's 2009 MLS championship season for Europe, Yura Movsisyan is back.

RSL signed Movsisyan, reportedly on a one-year loan with a purchase option, from Spartak Moscow on Friday, adding a proven goalscorer to a squad that scored the second-fewest goals in the league in 2015. RSL maintained Movsisyan's MLS rights after he left on a free transfer.

Movsisyan played five seasons in MLS (two with Kansas City, three with RSL), scoring 20 goals in 81 games, 15 of which came in his final two years in Salt Lake. He went on to enjoy high levels of success with Randers in Denmark, and FC Krasnodar and Spartak Moscow in Russia, in addition to starring with Armenia's national team.

He had 16 goals in 2013-14 with Spartak Moscow and 14 in 2011-12 with Krasnodar for his top two seasons. He also scored four goals for Armenia in qualifying matches for Euro 2012 and four more in qualifying matches for the 2014 World Cup.
