Mexico’s Maribel Dominguez scored Monday on an impressive overhead kick in a women’s Olympic qualifier to–at the time–keep her team alive against Costa Rica.

With Mexico trailing 2–0 in the 79th minute, the 37-year-old netted the goal on a flicked-on assist from Katie Johnson off a long throw-in.

Dominguez had a shot at scoring the equalizer in the waning minutes of the match, but Costa Rica ultimately held on and prevailed 2–1 to eliminate Mexico and advance to the semifinal round. Mexico would have gone through with a draw.
