Barcelona’s Jérémy Mathieu (torn meniscus) out six to eight weeks

FC Barcelona defender Jérémy Mathieu will miss six to eight weeks after undergoing surgery to the torn meniscus in his right knee on Thursday, the team announced.
Mathieu sustained the injury while on international duty for France on Tuesday.
Mathieu entered the match against Russia in the second half, replacing Patrice Evra. He exited the game just eight minutes later with the injury. France went on to win the friendly match, 4–2.
Mathieu has appeared in 31 games for Barcelona this season, playing a total of 2,371 minutes and recording two assists.
