Sounders rookie and United States men’s national team forward Jordan Morris scored against the Colorado Rapids on Saturday night, his second in as many games for Seattle.

The highly touted Homegrown Player went goalless in his first five professional contests, but seems to have settled in nicely atop the Sounders’ attack. With his team down 2–0 in the 63rd minute on Saturday at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Colorado, Morris took a cross-field pass from Cristian Roldan, dribbled three times to his right to create space and then fired across his body to beat Rapids goalkeeper Zac MacMath. The Sounders lost 3–1.
