The likes of Kaka, Philippe Coutinho, Hulk and Douglas Costa headline Brazil's 40-man preliminary roster for this summer's Copa America, but the real intrigue is in who is not on Dunga's squad.

Veteran defenders David Luiz, Marcelo and Thiago Silva have been omitted entirely by the Brazil manager, meaning they will join Neymar as high-profile Selecao players who will not be at Copa America. David Luiz had replaced Neymar as Brazil's face on Copa America promotional material after it was made clear the Barcelona star would only play in the Olympics this summer. The World Cup veterans are the biggest exclusions from the preliminary list, from which Dunga must select Brazil's final 23-man roster for the competition.

Brazil's entire 40-man squad, which also includes Dani Alves, Willian and Oscar, can be seen below:

Brazil was drawn into Group B of the competition along with Ecuador, Haiti and Peru.
