Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone made violent contact with a team staffer on the sideline during stoppage time of a 2–1 loss to Bayern Munich in Tuesday’s Champions League semifinal second leg, a result that was good enough to punch Atletico Madrid's second ticket to the final in three seasons.

In the 92nd minute, Simeoone caught a ball heading out of bounds, threw it back onto the pitch, and shoved the staffer, who appeared to be preparing to alert the fourth official of a pending substitution.

Atletico Madrid is on to the May 28th final in Milan, but Simeone’s status could be up in the air. The club will face either Real Madrid or Manchester City at the San Siro with a chance to lift the trophy.
