Zlatan Ibrahimovic is reportedly in talks to join MLS with the LA Galaxy. How exactly that would occur remains to be seen, but it provides an excuse to go back to last summer, when Ibrahimovic came to SI headquarters in New York and talked about the league.

Ibrahimovic, while appearing on SI Now, was asked what former Barcelona teammate Thierry Henry had told him about MLS, should he opt to join the league one day. Ibrahimovic, without hesitation, responded with his trademark candor.

"He said I should have a lot of patience if I come," Ibrahimovic said. "We're used to getting the ball on the feet. He didn't get the ball on the feet here. He had to run for the ball. But it's growing. It's becoming better. Thierry played here, you had David [Beckham] ... I think the football–the soccer–is getting bigger and bigger. But I would like that the soccer is in the level of the European soccer is because the U.S. needs it."

During a later game of word association, he opted for "growing" when describing MLS.

The full-length interview, which took place last July when PSG was in America for the International Champions Cup, can be seen here:

Regardless of where Ibrahimovic goes after leaving PSG, he's sure to entertain.
