Mexico improved to 6-0-0 under manager Juan Carlos Osorio with six clean sheets after a 1-0 win over Paraguay in a pre-Copa America friendly in Atlanta.

Over 63,000 turned out to see Andres Guardado score the lone goal in the 32nd minute. Mexico, which will face Uruguay, Jamaica and Venezuela in Group C play, has won seven straight games in total and extended its unbeaten streak to 18, going almost a calendar year since its last loss (June 19, 2015 to Ecuador at Copa America in Chile).

Guardado, coming off an Eredivisie-winning season at PSV Eindhoven, scored the winner off an assist from Jurgen Damm. He was unmarked in the center of the box and finished with ease with his left to put El Tri on the board.

Guillermo Ochoa earned the clean sheet in front of a back three captained by Rafa Marquez, as Mexico has outscored its six foes 13-0 since Osorio took over as manager. Mexico has one more tune-up before Copa America, playing defending Copa champion Chile in San Diego on Wednesday night.
