Portugal and Iceland meet in their Group F opener on Tuesday at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard in Saint-Étienne.
Portugal's seven victories in qualification came by slim margins, but there was nothing close in their 7–0 warm-up victory over Estonia last week. Cristiano Ronaldo netted two goals before exiting at the half. Ronaldo will record his 127th cap for the national team, which will tie a Portuguese national record set by Luis Figo.
Iceland is playing in its first major tournament following a qualification campaign that saw the country of 323,000 beat European power Netherlands twice.
The last time Portugal and Iceland met was during the qualifying rounds of Euro 2012, when Portugal won both games.
Austria and Hungary are the other two Group C teams.
