USA midfield prospect Emerson Hyndman is headed to the Premier League after signing with Bournemouth, the club announced on Friday.

Hyndman, 20, has been with Fulham since emerging through its academy, but he is out of contract this summer and makes the move up from the League Championship side to the top-flight Cherries on a free transfer. The Dallas native and grandson of former FC Dallas coach Schellas Hyndman, Emerson Hyndman has three caps with the senior U.S. team–most recently playing in a pre-Copa America tune-up against Puerto Rico–and was the captain in last summer's FIFA Under-20 World Cup.

Hyndman, a central midfielder, made his debut with Fulham's first team at 18, and he scored a valuable goal in helping keep the club in England's second tier this season against Cardiff, on his 20th birthday, no less.
