Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez followed up his weekend hat trick vs. Mainz with a Champions League goal for Bayer Leverkusen in the club's 1-1 draw at Monaco on Tuesday.

Chicharito's goal was a classic one for the Mexican international forward, a close-range, powerful header off a cross from Admir Mehmedi. Following a 2-2 home draw with CSKA Moscow to open Group E play in the Champions League, Leverkusen took a big step toward securing one of its most difficult results in the group by going ahead at Monaco, typically a difficult place for visitors to win. Leverkusen nearly held on, but Kamil Glik's 94th-minute equalizer forced the German side to settle for another point.

The goal is Chicharito's 100th of his career across all competitions in Europe, according to Leverkusen. He left Chivas Guadalajara for Manchester United in 2010 and played for Real Madrid before his move to Leverkusen a year ago.
