Robert Lewandowski is no stranger to heroics for club and country, and he was at it again on Tuesday.

Lewandowski's goal in the fifth minute of second-half stoppage time lifted Poland to a 2-1 World Cup qualifying win over Armenia, which nearly held on for the draw despite playing with 10 minute for 60 minutes. The goal was a header off of Jakub Blaszczykowski's free kick, and it put Poland into a draw with Montenegro atop Group E in UEFA's qualifying tournament, with both teams on seven points.

Poland took the lead in the 48th minute on Hrayr Mkoyan's own goal (which came under pressure from Lewandowski) but clawed back an equalizer two minutes later through Marcos Pizzelli.

Lewandowski's winner gives him four goals in World Cup qualifying, one behind UEFA-leading Cristiano Ronaldo.
