Costa Rica names Ruiz, Campbell to roster for World Cup qualifier vs. USA

Costa Rica releases a first-choice squad including Joel Campbell, Bryan Ruiz and Keylor Navas.

Costa Rica manager Oscar Ramirez has called on the likes of Bryan Ruiz, Joel Campbell and Keylor Navas for a first-choice squad that will face the United States in the second game of the CONCACAF 2018 World Cup qualifying Hexagonal, the federation announced on Wednesday.

Costa Rica plays at Trinidad and Tobago to open the round on Nov. 11 before turning attention to the Americans, who have never won a World Cup qualifying Hexagonal match in San Jose (0-5-0 all time). The U.S. will be coming off a rivalry bout against Mexico in Columbus, Ohio, four days prior.

Los Ticos fell to the U.S. in their last meeting at Copa America Centenario, with Jurgen Klinsmann's squad easing to a 4-0 group-stage victory in Chicago.
