When is the Champions League knockout stage draw?
The draw for the UEFA Champions League’s Round of 16 takes place Monday, Dec. 12.
The 16 first and second-place finishers from group stage play will be draw into two pools, with winners matching up with runners-up across the board in two-legged knockout rounds. Group winners receive home-field advantage for the second leg.
Teams from the same country cannot draw one another in this round, and teams from the same groups cannot be paired, either.
The first round of matches begins Feb. 14.
