Watch: Zlatan's hat trick gives Manchester United win in battle of Pogba brothers

Paul Pogba and his brother, Florentin, went head-to-head in the UEFA Europa League, as Manchester United beat Saint Etienne 3-0 in their round-of-32 first leg.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic managed to win the battle of Pogbas.

Ibrahimovic scored a hat trick as Paul Pogba and his brother, Florentin, went head-to-head in the UEFA Europa League, with Manchester United beating Saint Etienne 3-0 the first leg of their round-of-32 matchup.

Entering the match, all of the headlines surrounded the two Pogbas, whose Premier League and Ligue 1 clubs are both eyeing a place in the last 16. For Manchester United, winning the Europa League would represent another avenue to next season's Champions League, given its fight to finish in the top four in England.

The match had Paul and Florentin's other brother, Mathias, rooting for both sides.

But it was Paul's that got off to a good start, with Ibrahimovic supplying the opener off a 15th-minute free kick. It wasn't exactly the highlight-reel finish he may have been going for, but as he tried to sneak a low shot under the wall, it took a deflection off a defender and wrong-footed the goalkeeper for an early goal.

With a chance to extend the lead, Paul Pogba hit the crossbar with a 69th-minute header, after Daley Blind's pinpoint set-up off a free kick.

Ibrahimovic doubled the advantage soon after, though. Marcus Rashford's cross took a pair of slight deflections, including one off Florentin Pogba, and it fell right to the Swedish forward six yards out. He side-footed his finish into a vacated net to make it 2-0 in the 75th minute.

Ibrahimovic completed his hat trick in the 88th minute after being clipped down in the area. His penalty finish was his most emphatic of his three goals, with a powerful strike low and to the left giving United a commanding 3-0 lead heading into the away leg in France next week.
