Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba could return to take on Chelsea at the start of next month, according to reports in France.

The 24-year-old has been sidelined since September 12th after limping off against FC Basel in matchday one of the Champions League with a hamstring injury.

The former Juventus maestro is slightly ahead of schedule, but is yet to resume full training and could therefore be given permission to miss the upcoming international friendly matches with Wales and Germany, as reported by L'Equipe.

The Red Devils are targeting a return to action for Pogba when they make the trip to Stamford Bridge in a few weeks time on November 5th.

United contended well without Pogba's influence initially, but have arguably struggled a bit in recent weeks and have lacked some creativity in midfield.

United's last two Premier League matches have failed to result in wins, and last weekend's defeat against Huddersfield was particularly disappointing.

Pogba had been United's star man up until his injury, and will be keen to pick up where he left off when he returns to help the team try and keep pace with Manchester City at the top.
