Harry Kane could miss Saturday's huge game with Manchester United after missing Tottenham's shock EFL Cup defeat to West Ham, according to BeIN Sports.

Kane scored twice in Sunday's 4-1 win over Liverpool, but appeared to go off with a hamstring injury at the end and as a result missed Wednesday's EFL Cup game with West Ham, a game which his team lost 3-2 after being 2-0 up.

After the derby defeat, manager Mauricio Pochettino spoke of Kane's availability for the lunchtime kick off at Old Trafford, saying: "We'll see, we'll see. We need to assess the team because we were forced to rotate for different reasons and we'll see what happens in the next few days."

After being pressed further, the Argentine simply added: "We'll see." Kane has been in superb form for club and country this season, helping Spurs up the table to third and victory at Old Trafford would take them above Jose Mourinho's side into second.

The England man is currently the league's top scorer with eight goals, one more than his counterpart this weekend, Romelu Lukaku.

The last time Kane had a substantial amount of time injury was around the same time last season, and without him Spurs drew three of the five games without him, with goals also drying up. Pochettino will hope that Kane will be fit, as he will up against a United side that haven't won their last two league games.
