Craig Burley has told ESPN this week that out-of-favour Liverpool striker Danny Ings should make the switch to the Hawthorns within the upcoming transfer window.

As reported by HITC, Burley is of the opinion that West Brom, who are in desperate need of a goal-scorer, will sign striker Danny Ings, should he be available to leave Anfield.

Ings, 25, has struggled during his time at Anfield by failing to secure a first team spot. The English striker has made just seven appearances in a Liverpool shirt this season, finding the net on two occasions.

However, the former Burnley star has been a victim of multiple long term injuries which has severely affected his playing time within Merseyside. Furthermore, with the likes of Salah, Firmino and Mane now inhabiting Liverpool's front line, it's unlikely that Ings will achieve a first team spot.

Despite this, Ings has demonstrated his prolific nature in the Premier League, scoring eleven goals with Burnley in his debut season in the top flight.

West Bromwich Albion, who near the foot of the table, are in real danger of playing Championship football next season. Therefore, a goal-scoring striker is needed in order to give the Albion a glimmer of hope. Craig Burley believes that Danny Ings is that man.

"I think he could go there, either on a transfer or loan. Huge injury problems for this lad and isn't going to get a game (at Liverpool) and West Brom can't buy a goal," the former Scottish footballer explained.

With Danny Ings not making a Premier League start this season due to the high calibre of forwards ahead of him, it is likely that he will be moving on this January.
