Juventus have announced the loan signing of their former player Martín Cáceres from Lazio, who will stay with I Bianconeri until the end of the current season.

The defender has played for the Turin giants on two previous occasions, and is believed to have been snapped up as temporary cover for Medhi Benatia, who has just joined Qatari side Al-Duhail on a permanent deal.

Cáceres could make his third debut for Juve as early as tomorrow evening, when Massimiliano Allegri's side take on Atalanta in the Coppa Italia.

Announcing the news on their official website, the club said: "Juventus Football Club S.p.A. announces that the agreement with S.S. Lazio S.p.A. for the temporary acquisition, until 30 June 2019, of the registration rights of the player José Martín Cáceres Silva has been finalized for a consideration of € 0.6 million, to be paid in the current financial year."
