Soccer World Reacts to Arsenal’s Wild Comeback, Win in 98th Minute

Everything was going in favor for Bournemouth when it jumped out to a 2-0 lead against Arsenal in its Premier League clash at Emirates Stadium in London.

Gunners fans were in a frenzy watching the Cherries dominate and control possession of the game. The Cherries scored in the first nine seconds of the match on a goal from Phillip Billing, who took advantage of a Dango Ouattara low cross to record the second-fastest goal in Premier League history.

When Marcos Sensei added another score for Bournemouth in the 57th minute, things appeared as though they were getting out of hand for the Premier League leaders. But Arsenal, a team that has proven its resilience on multiple occasions, fought back.

Gunners’ Thomas Partley put Arsenal on the scorer’s card in the 57th minute with a strike, taking advantage of Emile Smith Rowe’s heading of the ball into his area. Then, Reiss Nelson notched one of his two key plays in the match, nailing a cross that led to Ben White scoring in the 70th minute for Arsenal.

Then, with a 2-2 deadlock, Nelson delivered the match-winning score in the 98th minute to complete one of the wildest comebacks in league history. Arsenal’s win against Bournemouth drew tons of reactions across Twitter.
