The New 2018 IndyCar debuting this upcoming season!

Sports Illustrated goes to the Manhattan Car Club to get an exclusive look at Simon Pagenaud's new 2018 IndyCar debuting this upcoming season. A few of the new features include four in-car camera docks, reinforced sidepods for side impacts and an enhanced LED screen. The car has a lower engine cover and smaller wings provide a long, lean profile. Gone are the bulky rear wheel guards, and the front wings are tidy and pleasing to the eye. Drivers have said the new sleek shape creates a smaller aerodynamic wake, which should allow trailing cars to have more stability so passes become less about drafting. Ideally, better racing follows.
