No. 2 Rafael Nadal beat No. 23 Carlos Moya 6-4, 6-3, 6-0 in the quarterfinals. Nadal will face Novak Djokovic in the semifinals as he seeks his third straight French Open title.
"He's the best player in the world on this surface," No. 6 Novak Djokovic said of Nadal, whom he will face in the semis. Nadal is 19-0 in his career at the French Open and has not dropped a set in the tournament this year.
Carlos Moya, the 1998 champion, was unhappy with his play as he had difficulty attacking Nadal and made mistakes with his backhand.
With a straight set victory over Igor Andreev, Novak Djokovic advanced to the semifinals of the French open where he will meet second-seeded Rafael Nadal.
