Nadal's $525K watch stolen at Open tune-up

The first few days of a major have the feel of the first day of high school. Mature, secure upperclassmen rule the roost. Awkward freshman walk nervously and hope they won’t sit alone at the table at the players’ cafeteria.

Rafael Nadal, tennis’ current B.M.O.C., practiced this morning and then walked through the lounge turning heads, even his potential opponents unable to feign cool indifference as he passed.
