Tipsarevic, Djokovic and a toy gun

The latest think-before-you-tweet scenario is brought to us by Janko Tipsarevic. Last week he tweeted this photo of himself aiming a toy gun at Novak Djokovic.

Tipsarevic originally posted the photo to his Twitter and Facebook accounts with the caption, "How much $€£ would #Nadal gief??;)." Not the cleanest translation, but it's easy to understand what he was getting at.

While it seems pretty obvious he was intending the post as a joke, it still doesn't send any sort of positive message for the never-play-with-guns campaign.

It's not the first time an athlete has used questionable judgment on the social media platform, and certainly won't be the last. Yet it did come as a surprise to see the lapse in judgment. An avid Twitter user who cracked SI.com's top 100 Twitter users list, Tipsarevic tweets about a wide range of topics, but is generally positive and light-hearted.

The negative response the Serb received for the photo prompted him to issue this response, and later pull the post altogether.
