Memory Lane: Federer's insane return game

Memory Lane is a recurring feature in which we dig through photo and video archives for classic moments.

Ten years ago, Andy Roddick and Roger Federer battled in Basel, Switzerland, for their first career meeting, with the Swiss prevailing 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 (5). Twenty-two showings later, Federer has amassed a 21-2 head-to-head record, including a straight-set win at the Swiss Indoors on Friday.

In light of their 23rd matchup, check out this video from Basel in 2002, when Federer plays an absolutely ridiculous return game (that baseline smash?!) to break Roddick in the second set.

Hat tip to @HolterMedia for tweeting it.
