The WTA released a series of short videos with players talking excitedly about the Olympics, ranging from Serena Williams, Li Na, Maria Sharapova and Ana Ivanovic. Best tidbit: Serena says the first thing she'll do if she wins a medal is hit up the Golden Arches for a Filet-O-Fish. Fair play.

Serena Williams, who lost to eventual gold medalist Elena Dementieva, 3-6, 6-4, 6-3, in Beijing.

Maria Sharapova was forced to miss the Beijing Olympics due to the shoulder injury that would eventually require surgery.

Li Na progressed all the way to the semifinals in Beijing when she was ranked No. 42, losing to Dinara Safina, 7-6 (3) 7-5. She lost to Vera Zvonareva in the bronze medal match, 6-0, 7-5.
