• Bernard Tomic says he's reassessed his approach to the game after coming under heavy fire for his effort level late last season.

"I think from now I've decided to play not more than three tournaments in a row and have two weeks off after each period. That's when I'm going to give myself the best chance. When I'm prepared and fit to play each tournament, I'll give 100 per cent."

"For me, once I play more than four or five tournaments I get tired, I stop focusing. And that's really what I've got set down to do this year: focusing on the tournaments I play, commit and do well, train and rest afterwards and get ready for other tournaments."
