The Daily Bagel is your dose of the interesting reporting, writing and quipping from around the Internet.

• Video: A shirtless Novak Djokovic cheers on Andrea Petkovic from the locker room and does his version of the Petko Dance. And once again, Djokovic's ability to speak several languages with a pretty good accent astounds me.

• As always, The Daily Mail has everything you want to know about Venus Williams and her Cuban model Elio Pis, and even has pictures of Richard and Lakeisha Williams' newborn son, Dylan Starr Richard Williams.

• According to The Daily Mail, Wimbledon is set to greenlight plans to give No. 1 Court a roof. What a bunch of show-offs.

• Interesting read here from Paul McNamee, former tournament director of the Australian Open: Why not make Miami into a clay court tournament?

I see Indian Wells being the grand finale to the first hard court season, and Miami being the grand opening of the major clay court season, which culminates of course at the French Open at Roland Garros. I'm not saying that Rafa in the end would have played Miami this week, as his body obviously deserves a break, but I suspect a clay-court Miami would see his juices flow a little more, and have made his decision on the weekend to pull out just that little bit harder.

• The prize-money fight now moves to the French Open and Wimbledon. According to this report from Doug Robson, the players are scoffing at the FFT's proposal.

"We told them at our last meeting that their presentation was insufficient," Gimelstob said Thursday. "In light of what the Australian Open and U.S. Open did, players refuse to accept that the resources aren't there."

"They are in jeopardy of being exposed as the least significant Grand Slam monetarily," added Gimelstob, who said players gathered at the Sony Open in Miami were discussing how to move forward.

• According to this report from Tennis Magazine France, Marion Bartoli has already ended her coaching her relationship with Jana Novotna and her father, Walter, was seen around the grounds in Miami.

• Kickstarter, but for athletes? Check out InvolvedFan, where you can help financially back some struggling athletes. It's a nice balance to all this talk of increased prize money at the Slams.
