Alexandr Dolgopolov was just an inch away from pulling off the shot of the year so far in his third round match against Tommy Haas at the Sony Open. With triple-break point to get back on serve, Dolgopolov chased down a perfect drop shot-lob combination and went for a no-look underhand pass that zipped through the windy conditions and looked to hit the backline. Haas challenged the call and Hawk-Eye showed the ball was just long. Haas went on to hold and win the match 6-3, 6-2.
