What players did during rain delays at French Open

As expected, rain once again pushed back play at the French Open on Thursday. Ryan Harrison's much-anticipated match against John Isner was moved to Friday, as was Jack Sock's second-round encounter with Tommy Haas.
A few lucky players were able to get their matches in the books, though they were repeatedly interrupted. Novak Djokovic and Sam Stosur cruised on Court Philippe Chatrier. Victoria Azarenka and Grigor Dimitrov zipped through their matches on Court Suzanne Lenglen. Bethanie Mattek-Sands pulled off the upset of the day, beating Li Na 5-7, 6-3, 6-2.
"This is very tough condition," Li said after her twice-delayed loss, "[to go] back to the court three times."

"It was very hard conditions today in terms of waiting and there is so much on, off, on, off," Azarenka said after her 6-4, 6-3 win over Annika Beck. "It's not like consistently raining or consistently not raining. So definitely difficult. But it's the same, for everybody. So it was just a matter of being patient."
The sogginess turned into a drawn-out waiting game. Many players struggled to pass the time in the locker room. Some were more successful than others. Djokovic modeled water polo fashions with his coach, Janko Tipsarevic debated popping a zit and many more tried to lose themselves in their iPads.

And then there's Fabio Fognini, who beat Lukas Rosol 6-2, 7-6 (3), 2-6, 6-1. Then he took an ice bath.
