Sixth-seeded Jo-Wilfried Tsonga rolled past Viktor Troicki of Serbia 6-3, 6-3, 6-3 on Sunday to reach the French Open quarterfinals.

Tsonga converted 4 of 11 break-point chances, held every service game, and clinched victory with a neatly clipped volley at the net.

The 28-year-old Tsonga was the last Frenchman to reach a Grand Slam final, losing to Novak Djokovic at the Australian Open in 2008.

His quarterfinal opponent is the winner of Sunday's match between 17-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer and 15th-seeded Gilles Simon of France.
