2011 U.S. Open champion Sam Stosur has hired Andy Murray's former coach Miles Maclagan as her new coach, according to Australian reports. Stosur, who finished the season out of the top 15 for the first time since 2008, split with her long-time coach David Taylor this summer before the U.S. Open.

Despite a disappointing season in which she struggled with her consistency and performance at the Grand Slams, Stosur finished the year strong. She made the finals of her last three tournaments, walking away with a title at the Japan Open and losing to Simona Halep in the finals of both the Kremlin Cup and the Tournament of Champions.
